About Cellina von Mannstein
In Cellina von Mannstein’s photography there is the wish to transmit feelings, fantasies or moments. Cellina von Mannstein is not an anarchist but she is for freedom in photography. Taking pictures of objects that are visual interesting and touchable. Visually spoken in her pictures there is no sleeky or cleanly perfection. Cellina von Mannstein loves to show a perfect imperfection and to transmit stories with her photography instead of to shine with one single image.

Von Mannstein, Cellina - Photographer
Born in Dusseldorf, Germany. After her graduation at the Bavarian Academy of Advertisement / Munich, Cellina started out as a production assistant at Cobblestones Pictures in Hamburg before moving on to director´s assistant and later on to art direction in the film production company. She soon realised that photography was her true calling; creating real narratives with her pictures. Since 2000, Cellina based herself in Hamburg as a freelance photographer, working for magazines such as Stern, Spiegel, Qvest and Tank (U.K). In 2001 she won the Kodak Up and coming Award. Max Magazine and Photo Magazine rated her as one of the hottest newcomers in people and fashion photography. But she moved to New York in May 2002 assisting Terry Richardson, who is her mentor. Cellina struck out on her own again in the summer of 2003, basing herself in Milan. With her photography published in Qvest, Zoo and Vorn Magazine she won the Lead Award four times in a row: 2003 for "Eastcost people" (silver), 2004 for "Who´s that girl" (gold), 2005 for "Ein Tag beim Rennen" (silver) and 2008 for "Fortune Coockies" (silver). Cellina is one out of the "new Photographers 2006" at the Cannes Film Festival.
